KSTAR and OSW announce 1GWh storage partnership at Smart Energy Conference

Sydney, Australia, 7 May 2026 — KSTAR Science and Technology Australia and One Stop Warehouse (OSW), Australia's largest solar distributor, have signed a 1GWh battery storage distribution agreement spanning 2026 to 2028. Signed at the Smart Energy Conference and Exhibition, the agreement establishes OSW as KSTAR's first and primary distribution partner in Australia, responsible for bringing KSTAR's residential and C&I energy storage solutions to local installers and commercial customers nationwide.

The deal reflects accelerating demand for battery storage as Australian households and businesses look to maximise the value of rooftop solar and participate more actively in the grid. The Australian partnership builds on an established global relationship, with OSW already distributing KSTAR products across Europe. The expansion into Australia reflects confidence in both KSTAR’s product offering and its long-term commitment to the local market.

KSTAR is a publicly listed manufacturer of power electronics and energy storage systems, with deployments across more than 180 countries and regions. Founded in 1993, KSTAR has formed a joint venture with CATL, the world’s largest battery manufacturer, combining advanced battery cell technology with KSTAR’s inverter systems in a fully integrated manufacturing process. For the Australian market, where product reliability, cell quality and long-term performance are under increasing scrutiny, this level of vertical integration provides installers and commercial buyers with greater confidence in system performance and lifecycle outcomes.

KSTAR’s products have completed CSIP testing and are on track to receive Clean Energy Council (CEC) approval in May 2026. The company is also in discussions with multiple Virtual Power Plant (VPP) providers, positioning its residential range for grid-connected applications from launch.

The agreement includes KSTAR’s residential battery range, including the BlueSpark Series, a modular system starting at 5.12kWh per unit and expandable to 40kWh, alongside a broader suite of C&I storage solutions. Products will be distributed through OSW’s national network, supported by KSTAR Australia’s local team providing pre-sale technical support and post-sale commissioning services.
