KSTAR central inverters

Chinese inverter manufacturer KSTAR has received NTS 631 certification from Spain's Certification Entity for Renewable Energies (CERE), claiming to be the first Chinese manufacturer to achieve this certification.

The company said the certification would strengthen its presence in Europe, particularly in Spain, which has recently been recognised as one of the world's fastest-growing solar markets.

CERE tested KSTAR's entire range of central inverters, with capacities ranging from 500 kW to 3.4 MW. All models were approved for commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale solar applications.

This approval means KSTAR now complies with Spain's upcoming PO12.2 requirements, a set of standards and safety regulations that all grid-connected equipment must meet, allowing the manufacturer to enter the Spanish market.

Leo Liu, Regional Director at KSTAR, said the company would continue preparing for the implementation of Spain's new grid codes.
